Mauna Kea, Hawai`i
In 2008 I made my third visit to Mauna Kea. We were concerned when the road to the summit was closed in the morning but it turned out to be a fine day on the summit. We had tours of Gemini North and Keck, both excellent. The school kids in the limited visitor area of Keck were surprised when we arrived and were ushered though the foyer and into the facility.
