I didn't have high expectations for my stop in the USVI given my experience with Waikiki and San Juan, Puerto Rico and it didn't disappoint on that front. It's amazing that the USA can turn out these plastic imitations of real places but it shouldn't be too surprising given the evidence of the World Showcase at Epcot.Blackbeard's Castle is a National Historic Landmark but it would be hard to tell given the commercialisation. Britannia House was a little better but I couldn't help but think that any other island in the Caribbean would have done it better.
