I think they're very disappointing. Their food is very formula and far
too Australianised for my taste. There are dozens of nearly identical
restaurants around the city and suburbs, most claiming to be Thai.

There are two Malaysian restaurants that I would recommend. The best is
easily Casuarina, who's signature dish, Kari Ikan Kepala is easily worth
the effort even if it is a little pricy; unfortunately they're at Marion
shopping centre. The other place that I'd recommend is Mekong Thai on
Hindley Street, which in spite of their name serves a very good Nasi
Goreng and who's Ayam Mesak Merah is sedap dan pedas sekali. While
specialising more on Thai and Laotian cuisine, they are still worth a
mention.

Perhaps the best Kari Ayam I've seen in the city is from Cafe Chinatown
in Chinatown alley at Central Market, but they really specialise in a
range of chinese styles of mee goreng.
